The Antiques Council, a nonprofit organization, is committed to supporting charitable organizations that benefit the island of Nantucket.

Our 2018 Beneficiaries

The Nantucket Preservation Trust, a membership based organization with a focus on the preservation of the islands historic architecture.Proceeds from the Nantucket Summer Antiques Show opening preview Summer Brunch event  (Friday August 10 from 10:00 am to noon, with tickets available at the door)  will  support the study of traditional building methods through The Mary Helen and Michael Fabacher Scholarship of the Nantucket Preservation Trust.

Chris O'Reilly, our current scholarship candidate.

Nantucket Historical Association along with its Whaling Museum and historic sites preserves and retells the history of Nantucket.  The lecture on Saturday morning August 11 by Dr. Stuart Frank, former curator of the New Bedford Whaling Museum and the world's foremost scrimshaw expert, will introduce viewers to the extraordinary range of the whale's men fanciful art.  Proceeds  benefit the NHA.

Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, working with members of the community and visiting artists, and collaborating with other cultural organizations, produces a variety of theatrical works that reflect the highest artistic standards. The Sunday evening event, with perforamces by cast members on the floor of the show, benefits the Theatre Workshop.

Nantucket Garden Club, Inc Scholarship Program  annually awards  scholarships, to Nantucket High School graduates committed to conservation and environmental issues, and whose educational pursuits reflect their personal commitment to the Nantucket community and environment while pursuing an education in the following 
areas of discipline: Ecology, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Preservation, Biology or Botany.
